Marwah Academy offers two very unique Hifz/Hifdh (Quran Memorization) opportunities. One is offered as an integrated program in the 6th grade curriculum and the other is offered as an option to all students interested between grades 4-8.
Students in the 6th grade spend an hour everyday memorizing the Quran with the intention to retain as much of it as possible while being directly immersed in an environment that seeks to challenge their memorization capability, critical thinking and self-discipline skills. Through this program, we seek to prepare students for a challenging and rigorous academic career in grades 7 and 8. Hafiz/Huffadh have for many years proven to be far more academically strong and possess significantly greater memorization, retention, and critical thinking skills than their peers. Through the implementation of his program, we seek to normalize these capabilities in all students in our upper grades. Students engaged in this program are not expected to memorize the entirety of the Quran, rather, the focus is on discipline and development of skills required to succeed in such a program.
Students enrolled in our Hifz/Hifdh (Qur’an Memorization) program for grades 4-8th aim to meet the challenge of memorizing the entire Quraan in two, three, or four years while simultaneously continuing with their regular academic classes.
The Hifz program is held every school day.
Admission requirements
Students enrolled in these programs must be able to read Quraan fluently. They should have read through the entire Quraan at least once. Applications are available in the main office and must be completed in full before the student is tested for placement. If the student is accepted into either programs, both student and parents must attend an orientation meeting that will discuss expectations, projected results, and tips to succeed.
We pray that Allah blesses this program and grants success to the Marwah Academy family.
